Getting started: Choose your texting number
When you create a free Textmagic account, you’ll be taken to the Getting Started page. Based on your location, we’ll automatically show the SMS texting options available in your region.
These options may include:
- Texting number -> for two-way texting, so your customers can reply and chat with you.
- Sender ID –> for one-way outbound messages only, and recipients cannot reply.
💡 Tip: If you’re already using a CPaaS provider (Twilio, Vonage, Bandwidth, Sinch), you can connect your existing number and use it to send SMS campaigns through Textmagic.
Texting rules vary by country, and some carriers may require verification. Check the guides below to see how texting works in your region.
Before sending text messages, you can choose what number or ID your recipients will see. You can update this anytime in your Sender settings.
Note: Textmagic does not support sending campaigns through social messaging channels such as WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook.
