Sender ID and number filtering restrictions

Mobile operators across the world use number filtering and protection rules to protect their customers from unwanted text messages.

Some mobile operators filter text messages that are sent using alphanumeric or numeric Sender ID. In these cases your Sender ID is changed to a random number in order to ensure delivery. This is called number filtering.

Two-way SMS service is guaranteed to work only in the countries, where we offer local dedicated numbers.

Alphanumeric Sender ID (sending messages from a company name) is supported in the following countries:

  • Australia
  • United Kingdom
  • Ireland
  • Germany
  • Switzerland
  • Majority of the EU countries
Sender ID is a paid feature and works only in a few countries, please test it before purchasing the Sender ID subscription. To get more information or to check the supported sender settings on your account please contact Textmagic support.
