Email validation is a critical step in maintaining a healthy contact list and ensuring your messages reach real recipients. Email lookup & validation service helps you quickly verify whether an email address is valid and deliverable before sending campaigns.
Textmagic offers three email lookup options to suit different use cases:
This guide walks you through how to use the tool and understand its results.
What the validation tool does and its limitations
The email lookup & validation service is designed to:
- Check if an email address is properly formatted
- Verify whether the domain exists and accepts mail
- Assess deliverability status (whether emails can reach the inbox)
This helps reduce bounce rates, protect your sender reputation, protect your email domain reputation, and improve campaign performance.
It does not determine whether an inbox is full or temporarily unable to receive messages.
Step-by-step: how to validate emails
- From the main menu, click More and select Bulk email lookup.
- Click New email lookup.
- Upload a file with email addresses or copy and paste them into the input field.
- Click Continue to start validation.
- Review the results.
After validation, the tool provides detailed information for each email address, including:
- Status – Valid or Invalid
- Deliverability – Deliverable, Undeliverable, or Unknown
- Reason – Explanation of the result (e.g. mailbox is disposable, no MX record found, mailbox does not exist)
- Risk level – Indicates potential risk (Low, Medium, High)
- Disposable email – Identifies if the email is from a disposable provider
- Email role – Detects role-based emails (e.g. info@, support@)
- Mailbox type – Free or Corporate
- Domain details – Includes domain part, MX records, and technical checks
- Whitelist / Blacklist status – Indicates if the domain is listed
Use this data to filter out invalid, risky, or low-quality email addresses before sending campaigns.
