Point AI is a simple AI tool designed to help you respond quickly and accurately to customer inquiries via Textmagic Messenger. When generating an answer, Point AI relies only on your trusted and preferred resources, which can include your knowledge base, websites,  or documents that you upload directly to Textmagic.

Unlike other AI tools, Point AI does not rely on external databases or search engines like Google. Instead, it uses only the content you provide, ensuring accurate and reliable responses designed to meet your specific needs.

How it works:

  1. Add a source (such as a website link or document) to Point AI.
  2. Point AI scans the content and uses it as the basis for its replies to your questions.
  3. Ask a question, and Point AI generates an answer using the information from your uploaded resources.

Why use Point AI in Textmagic?

Point AI helps you correctly answer customer questions using your internal resources while sending replies via Textmagic Messenger.

With Point AI, you can:

  • Generate accurate answers for your customers.
  • Offer guidance based on your knowledge base and internal resources.
  • Quickly browse and validate information without leaving the conversation in Textmagic Messenger.

Generating an answer using Point AI

To start using Point AI, you need to: 

  • Option 1: Add a website link.
  • Option 2: Upload a file from your computer.

Once the source is added, the data will be automatically synced and used when replying to your questions.

Additional settings

The Point AI provides several additional settings to help you manage your resources effectively:

  • Add source: Click the Add source button to upload new resources, such as website links or documents, that Point AI will use to generate answers.
  • Re-sync all: Use the Re-sync all option to refresh the data from all uploaded resources, ensuring that Point AI has access to the latest updates.
  • Turn off Point AI: If you no longer need Point AI, you can disable it by selecting the Turn off Point AI option.

For each individual source, you can access further actions using the menu on the right:

  • Re-sync: Refresh a specific resource to update its content in Point AI.
  • View details: Review the information and settings for a particular resource.
  • Delete: Remove a resource from Point AI if it is no longer needed.

These settings ensure that you have full control over the sources Point AI uses, making it easy to maintain accurate and up-to-date responses.

To use Point AI effectively:

  1. Ask a question: Type your query into the designated field while in a chat.
  2. Receive a response: Point AI will generate an accurate answer based on the resources you’ve uploaded.
  3. Validate the response: If needed, review and adjust the answer before sending it to the customer.

By following these steps, you can rely on Point AI to improve and ease your support interactions and provide your customers with the best possible experience.

What if I am not happy with the Point AI answer?

If you’re not satisfied with a response generated by Point AI, here are a few steps you can take to improve the results:

  • Review your resources 
    • Check for completeness: make sure the website links or documents you uploaded contain all the necessary information Point AI needs to provide accurate answers.
    • Update your sources: if information is outdated or incomplete, upload newer documents or update the links.
  • Rephrase your question
    • Be specific: asking a more precise or detailed question can help Point AI generate a more accurate response.
    • Avoid ambiguity: ensure your question is clear and free of vague terms.
  • Manually adjust the response
    • Before sharing the answer with your customer, you can manually edit the response to better suit their needs.
  • Provide feedback
    • If Point AI consistently struggles with specific types of questions or topics, consider refining the content in your sources or contacting Textmagic support for assistance.
